Indian promontory is imbued with a comprehensive continent itself; whose geographical diversity has led wildlife thrives throughout the sweep of more than 350 species of mammals and 1,200 species of birds in the country. Every Indian wildlife area has something different to offer, and there is a big difference wildlife living in their natural habitats.
India's government has introduced a comprehensive legislative in1972 called the Wildlife (Protection) Act to ensure legal protection of wildlife and endangered animals, particularly the assumed protection of wild animals and birds and their habitats national importance. It was at a time when the forest and wildlife protection, and a list of the birds were in the country. This is a provision establishing national parks and reserves where wildlife can complete protection. This legislation has been adopted by all states except Jammu and Kashmir and Nagaland. The former has its laws, much in the same line in the Central Act.
